I had the opportunity to attend some sessions on peer observation at the Learning Forward conference…one interesting presentation was by Vanderbilt and Tennessee DoE. They are working with six districts using peer observation GROUPS. Teachers work in horizontal or vertical teams to review lessons (they video their lessons) and give feedback until the lesson meets their expectations then they share those lessons with district and state (i.e. CIITS). Very interesting…do we have any districts who are trying peer observation groups?
