Our three teacher leaders, Effie Stidham, Triena Bowling and Kerry Kilburn at Hazard Independent are actively engaged in their PBL film documentary. Although at times, there is the fear that we may have bitten off more than we can chew, the Babe Ruth quote supplied by Abbie Combs comes to mind….”Never let the fear of striking out keep you from coming up to bat.” We are presently at the spring training stage of our entry into PBL. and although the striking out fear is a real emotion we are experiencing, we are pushing forward and learning in the process. Locating resources such as WYMT’s Mitchell Grogg and Mimi Pickering from Appalshop have been a boost for our confidence and planning.
