Tues. Jan 13th was a cold day, but with temps in the 30’s we were able to take of the GG 51 row cover and leave the GG 30 to take care of the plants this week. The kale you see this young man crunching on is as sweet as can be! So yummy! We have eaten it in stir-fry, salad and baked kale chips. At home I use it in soup. Kale is extremely nutritious and quite versatile! If you want to try your hand at Fall gardening next year…you MUST plant kale. We have 4 varieties: Redbor, Lacinato, Blue Curled Scotch and Red Russian. The seed was ordered from Johnny’s Select Seeds and Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company. The Gro Guard row cover came from Deerfield Supply right here in Ky!
