Spring is just around the corner and we are getting geared up for some Spring planting!! The students have learned to use a soil blocker to make soil blocks for planting their tomato seeds. The students have set up the grow lights and will watch the tomatoes closely. These plants will be shared with the West Care Homeless Shelter and the Cedar Creek Assisted Living residents. We also have fresh starts of kale, lettuce, kohlrabi started in the greenhouse! These plants will be transplanted into our raised beds at school. By the way…we had kale salad in the school cafeteria again today. This makes about 8 or 9 meals we have contributed to this winter!!
