Please share this information with any middle or high school student that you think may be interested. It is a wonderful opportunity.
The Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky is hosting an āEngineering Learning Festivalā on Friday, June 12 & Saturday, June 13 where seven students from MIT and Harvard will be teaching middle and high school students about engineering. This is part of a cross-country bike trip called Spokes America that the seven students are doing this summer to make hands-on STEM learning accessible to everyone. They will be teaching 3 workshops–all free to attend–in which students will build a robot, program a computer, and launch a model rocket on their own. The Festival is being held at Challenger Learning Center, 1 Community College Drive Hazard. Contact the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky at 606-487-3049 or by email at [email protected] or [email protected] for more details. If you have specific questions about the engineering content you can email [email protected].
The attached flyer has a link included for students to register. The program will be limited to 60 students. Please forward on to middle and high school students you know who are interested in engineering and that you know will attend. Weād like to assure that all seats are taken. This is also a direct link to the registration page. https://docs.google.com/a/clcky.com/forms/d/1nvF-a0OClUDKEw7MYspWtGe0w69jOt0fhGzQFy-geMc/viewform
