Students love to come to the computer lab, but many times they think computers are only to play games. Through my innovation grant, “Engaging Students Through Creative Technology”, I plan to help my students delve into a deeper understanding of technology and its many uses. In a Project Based Learning atmosphere students will interact with each other and the community to create videos and digital storytelling projects that inform their audience on topics such as the history of Hazard, school and cafeteria rules and procedures, and an introduction to kindergarten. Through this project students will learn keyboarding, coding, and editing, just to name a few.
