Fitness Forever
I long for my students to have an enriched and quality physical education, lifelong wellness and healthy habits. My plan of action is to integrate Project Base Learning with P.E. as a collaborative and innovative approach to the importance of a healthy lifestyle. For my mini-grant I asked for Spark Curriculum for grades k-2 and a variety of new P.E. equipment. For our project, we will partner with our schoolâs STLP team (4th/5th grade students) who conduct a daily news broadcast called the âBurdine Buzzâ. My first graders will become a part of this broadcast weekly by incorporating a âFitness Broadcastâ using I-Movie. My students will teach a P.E. skill or give fitness tips that they learned through the Spark Curriculum each week. In addition to the Burdine Buzz, we will share our broadcasts on our Class Twitter Page, School Facebook notepad and the Holler! I truly believe this project will yield results that will extend beyond the funding of this mini-grant. I am so excited to embark in this journey with my little learners!
