Fitness Forever

Fitness Forever is an innovative approach to the importance of a healthy lifestyle. For my mini-grant I asked for Spark Curriculum for grades k-2 and a variety of new P.E. equipment. For our project, our first graders became a part of a school wide broadcast by producing “Fitness Commercials” using I-Movie. My students teach a P.E. skill or give fitness tips that they learned through the Spark Curriculum for their broadcast. In addition to enhancing physical education in the lives of my students, we have been able to integrate P.E. with Math and Writing content. I truly believe this project will yield results that will extend beyond the funding of this mini-grant. I am so excited to embark in this journey with my little learners!
