Hola! I am a student in Mr. Anama’s 4th period Spanish II A class. We are studying Dia de los Muertos. We are celebrating by creating papel piscado. The people who celebrate Dia de los Muertos see death as a celebration. They celebrate the dead passing on to their next lives. They create murals; create papel piscado, like we did today; and leave out incense to help the dead know where to come to visit. The people who celebrate clean graves and also decorate sugar skulls for commemoration.
