I teach 3rd grade math and use multiple formative assessments every single day. We use smart pals or white boards daily to review content and as a quick check for me to gauge their understanding to new content as well. Each of my math lessons end with an exit ticket. This helps me ensure that students are reaching mastery and fully understanding the learning target of the day. I also love the math FALs listed on Renee Yates’ website. I use many other formative assessments including “four Corners” and “Scoot.”
