Our school’s problem of practice includes specific, immediate corrective feedback. A resource I found includes a descriptive teacher feedback rubric that can be used by groups or individual teachers who want to improve their formative assessment practice: Using the Formative Assessment Rubrics, Reflection and Observation Tools to Support Professional Reflection on Practice By: Caroline Wylie and Christine Lyon, Educational Testing Service May 2013. There is a particular rubric on page 56 dealing with descriptive teacher feedback that I found most helpful. It is read from left to right and describes an incomplete implementation to a more advanced level of implementation focusing on the teacher’s role to provide feedback.

Thank you for this resource! Specific feedback is vital to learning and growing for students, teachers, and administrators alike. This sounds like something that would be beneficial to all educators. I will have to check it out!
