Building Math – With this grant I was able to order the Lego Mindstorm and components that go along with it. My students have been able to build, code, and manipulate the variety of sets. I was able to buy an iPad for students to learn coding. We were also able to purchase the Lego Boost.
The students were able to download the apps for these sets. They had to follow the steps to create their masterpieces. I was able to work with my gifted and talented teacher for enrichment activities during these STEAM activities. The students enjoyed the hands-on activities. For the culminating activity students worked in their group and wrote about the sets they took to complete their activity.
