Tech Tuesday will be a weekly communication sent to Innovation Coordinators, District Technology Coordinators, Chief Informational Officers and stakeholders of the ARI technology roll out that began this summer.
The Appalachian Renaissance Initiative is funded by one of the latest Race to the Top Grants awarded to the Kentucky Valley Education Cooperative at the tune of 30 million dollars over the next four years. 17 school districts with 99 schools representing over 40,000 students will benefit from the ARI initiative. All 99 schools will be receiving a “Next Generation Classroom.” Districts participating are: Breathitt, Floyd, Harlan, Hazard Independent, Jackson Independent, Jenkins Independent, Johnson, Knott, Lee, Letcher, Magoffin, Middlesboro Independent, Owsley County, Paintsville Independent, Pike County, Pikeville Independent, and Wolfe County.
