This week the students are still harvesting greens for school salad despite the fact that many of the plants are bolting and reaching maturity. The students are learning about pollination and how the plants produce seed. We will harvest seed pods when they mature, allow them to dry and collect seed for next year! Thanks for sharing this!!! I’m embarrassed that I didn’t remember Katie’s name during the recording of the tutorial. Guess I put myself on the spot lol. The student’s work in Perry County has always impressed me. They all have such potential. I am looking forward to seeing what they create during this project!

Southside is a school that is moving very quickly toward personalized learning. Having such a enthusiastic principal certainly provides this wonderful staff with support and encouragement. Southside Elementary is a school to watch for innovation in teaching.
