One of the most useful applications of my new technology so far has been the Bluetooth speakers. We use them daily for listening exercises. I am able to acces my personal iTunes library as well as purchase materials and download them and on the spot instantly. In the past when a student has had a question about a piece of music or if there were something I wished that I could share with the students we had to at least wait a day to get the materials together. With the iPad, the speakers and the iTunes library I can instantly share with students music and videos from around the world. The other day we were discussing unusual world instruments in my humanities class and I was able to instantly demonstrate the Japanese koto or the Eastern European hurdy gurdy. The world is literally at our fingertips.
