“What Really Happened at the First Thanksgiving?” This was the question that students at Jackson Independent tackled. Students became “Historical Detectives” collecting pieces of evidence and putting it all together to create a better understanding of what truly happened during the First Thanksgiving. I really had a good time visiting Mrs. Havicus’s and Mrs. Byers, seeing students engaged in learning. Not only were they engaged, but they were having fun learning.
