Today Mrs. Henson’s 6th grade Lamp class took a virtual field trip to a copper mine. Students submitted questions and answered questions that the presenters asked. Student learned a lot about all the career field that are involved in mining. They discussed several careers and others that’s were related. STEM was discussed throughout and they preformed online experiment and showed how technology is used. Mrs. Henson related how coal mining is related to copper mining. Finally, I loved it when they stated that minecraft is helping develop 3d engineers.
