Here is a shout out to the Community Problem Solving projects that are going on in the KVEC region. I have had the opportunity to visit three schools thus far and the projects are amazing.
Jenkins Middle School has taken on a revitalization project along a railroad track in Jenkins.
Southside has been engaged in a river clean up project where tires recovered are used to make rubberized mulch for school playgrounds.
Pikeville Middle School has been busy providing books for the homeless shelter as well as creating a worm farm to enhance the school garden at the elementary school.
The Pikeville Elementary students are growing winter vegetables that actually are prepared by the school cafeteria and served to students at lunch!
AMAZING Work! Good job to all! I can’t wait to visit more schools and see all the wonderful projects out there.
