The Holler hosted a workshop to teach educators the fundamentals of 3D printing. The workshop utilized programs such as Blender, Cura, and Tinkercad to then bring your creation to life using an Ultimaker 3D printer. The software can be used to create animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models and interactive 3D applications. These educators were given supplemental materials to further their learning outside of the workshop to bring back to their classrooms.
This full-day course is based on a real-life example and will guide you through the steps from printer overview, product design, review, and a prototype print. Some of the things we are able to offer during these intermediate workshops are learning how to create more complex models using CAD (computer-aided design), or specific applications of 3D printing. You get hands-on experience of 3D printing and an introduction to tools for modeling and preparing for any print you can think of.
