For my capstone project, I plan to establish a student leadership team at Breathitt County High School to work to improve school culture. I will collaborate with school administrations and student senate members to build this student leadership team, as we incorporate some of the Maxwell work to grow our student leaders. The Student Agency initiative of the ARI grant will be a tremendous asset to help with this project.

Susan, Letcher County Central High School has a very well established peer counseling program that you may want to look at. Upperclassmen are trained in peer mediation and work with students to help settle issues and they also tutor in our Freshmen studies classes.
