i am from a straightener from my sisters room, and where we never failed to make timeless memories.
i am from an unknown hill, with a fresh smell of gunpowder, and a sight my momma would die for.
i am from dirt, and from the stains and bruises it leaves on me from sliding in to home.
i am from beach trips every year, and strict sterns from poppa and momma as we would cause trouble in the back seat.
i am from here to there & there to home.
from always hearing “remember your standards” or “be a leader not a follower.”
i am from no friends over on saturday night if they don’t go to church.
i am from don’t talk the talk if you can’t walk the walk.
i am from where no one knows, where fightin’ and fussin’ was caused by our old folks.
i am from realizes life can pass in an instant, and almost losing your best friends in the blink of an eye. i am from laying in the hospital bed, hoping and prayer they were both still alive.
i am from always knowing families are forever. i am from love one another as He once did.40 Comments-
