This is a great website to use for combing reading and writing in the content areas! Also, each module comes with a rubric for helping you assess student work/writing! I always find it hard to find the materials I am looking for to correctly assess student writing! This is a plus with this site!

Is a school’s attendance going to impact this year’s test scores? I remember hearing that average attendance would be taken into consideration when calculating performance.

Our school’s problem of practice centers around ways we can increase our writing test scores. While reading “Visible Learning for Literacy” I read a great section on writing and the effect size of different components of the writing process etc. Here is what there research concluded:

Attendance was part of Opportunity and Access, which has been renamed as Quality of School Climate and Safety. Quality of School Climate and Safety is planned for 2019-2020, but we are unaware of what measures it will include. Attendance may be one of them, but the measures have not been determined at this time.
