Raised Gardens for the enjoyment of others is one of the goals of my students this year during this trying time. My students have created a materials list by using Google Meet and then calculating how much it will cost for these materials. Next, they completed the purchase order, so it will get approved by the administrators. They are not only learning additional math skills but also the proper procedure to get things approved. They have realized that you can not just set up an activity and do it, but you must get prior approval. While they are waiting for the approval, they will continue to practice their measurement skills, as well as adding and subtracting fractions. They are anxious to create these beautiful raised Garden Beds that will give the residents of the Nim Henson Geriatric Center enjoyment for hours to come.
