Hi, all,
While discussing the PETLL visits with the UK design team today, Justin Bathon shared a framework developed by Scott McLeod called TRUDACOT (Technology-Rich Unit Design and Classroom Observation Template) for use in a walkthrough framework. I thought you may be interested in reviewing for possible future use.
I especially liked this statement in the overview: “
“Finally, we are finding trudacot to have the most power as an up-front brainstorming, idea-generating, and design tool, not an after-the-fact evaluative tool. We want educators thinking about lesson and unit (re)design in ways that are safe and generative, not worrying about being judged.”

Let me know what you think.

Linda this information is something that we certainly need to explore. We all need to focus on technology integration throughout the curriculum as well as in the context of student agency. We all know that technology has become a part of the educational process, but too often it is separate and not integrated into everyday learning. Integrating technology is a priority of our Next Gen learning in as a tool to promote and extend student learning on a daily basis. Perhaps TRUDACOT is one way to do just that.
