What did I take away from the Rural Practitioner’s Convening? I treasure most the new friends and common connections that I have made with educators from other rural areas. We have so very much in common. There is also an expectation of what “Can Be” that sprang from the rich discussions; the expectation to jointly develop and share strategies and resources to positively impact education in rural areas as well as inform the national conversation on rurality. What an exceptional group of educators! I am so glad to have been a part of these two days and look forward to something that will exceeds group expectation —maybe it is that “Aspiration thing” full blown!
