With the grant my classroom received this year, we created a documentary featuring individuals from our community. We hoped our video would help to dispel the negative stereotypes bestowed upon our region. We also hoped to teach the students 21st century skills that they could carry into their college career and their future vocation. This grant project taught students to use the vocabulary of the industry, to use features of various cameras and audio equipment, to set up camera angles for videos, to use proper interviewing skill, to use specific audio equipment (Rode microphone and Zoom audio record to download video clips, and to use editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro). The students mastered so many of these skills, and these skills will carry forward with them. Please check out the documentary at the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-da0sfhBpI
