Mu classroom grant was used to purchase basic lab equipment such as beakers, test tubes, scales and other items so our students could participate in hands on activities in science class. This material has not only been used by my classes , but also the other science classes in the building. My students have shown an interest in the use of the lab and have shown some movement in greater comprehension of concepts. The grant has been truly helpful to the other students as well. Recently, another science teacher told me that the ability to use the lab had created for him one of his most successful years.

I also implemented Kagan Cooperative learning in my classroom to see if I could improve the social and academic skills of my students. After many hours of observation and tracking I have seen improvements in the social interactions of my students. However, I will admit to small modifications of the true groupings.
