Kindergarten students at Jackson City School are working to create virtual field trips that can be shared with parents and upcoming students. This is their first attempt at creating a video presentation. As you can see in the trailer, students used iPad Minis to capture the video and used iMovie App on the iPad to create their first video. Something to think about… How can we make Eastern Kentucky a hot-bed for technology jobs in the future? What can we do to prepare our students for a world that is driven by technology? Thoughts?!? Love to have some great conversation!!!

I think one thing that has to occur: we need to bring high-tech jobs like programming and electrical engineering out of the realm of ” they do that somewhere else.” There is no real reason a programming company couldn’t locate in our region. “Our internet is faster than your internet.”
