I am beginning work on a photo essay of kids in Appalachia to portray them in their favorite places, or with their 21st century projects (robots, aerospace, etc.), or with their art or music, etc. I want to paint a photographic picture of the future of the . So – I need help getting subjects to pose for me! I am especially interested in high school and older middle school kids and of course kids with compelling stories. This will probably be a year long project. If anyone can help please contact me at [email protected]. I’m looking to include 75 or more students. Students over 18 or parents of students under 18 will have to sign release forms for the photos to be used for promotion or commercially as in ads for economic development, etc. Hopefully a book will also result. I would love to include students in writing and organizing the project .
