I am a paperless classroom teaching Integrated Social Studies and Advanced Placement World History. I have been involved with creating innovative and engaging lessons. The best thing that I use to assess my students includes numerous Google Apps for Education. I use Google Classroom as my home for the students to get their work. Slides, Sheets, Drawings, and Forms have all been used numerous times throughout the school year. This has allowed my students to be more engaged in lessons, get creative, and kept behavior concerns/issues to a minimum.

    • Wow!
Has 1 to 1 capability helped in your ability to use formative assessment?

      • Yes! Students can collaborate and share many assignments, I can use technology to administer exit tickets, and 1 to 1 gives way to creative presentation opportunities. Socratic.com is great for quick class feedback for bell ringers and exit tickets.

      • This is great! I have recently been having my students do their notes in google slides and they love it! And they will always have them in their Google Drive! No more “lost” notes.

    • I love this idea!

    • Were you trained on Google classroom or did you just start playing around on it to figure out all of the different capabilities it offers? I would love to attend a training on how to use google classroom in a math classroom. I’m especially interested in how students would show their work.
